In the context of modern life, often characterized by materialism, zakat serves as a crucial instrument for maintaining a balance between wealth ownership and social responsibility. This study aims to analyze the meaning of zakat as a means of purifying the soul and wealth, and to examine its implementation in improving community welfare. The research method is a qualitative approach, using library research and analysis of primary sources such as the Qur'an, hadith, and literature on Islamic jurisprudence and economics. Data were analyzed descriptively and analytically to uncover the correlation between the spiritual and social dimensions of zakat. The results show that zakat functions not only as a financial obligation but also as a means of moral and spiritual development for muzakki (payers of zakat). Through proper zakat, wealth is cleansed of its rights to others, while the owner's soul is freed from greed and individualism. Socially, zakat helps redistribute wealth, reduce economic disparities, and strengthen solidarity among believers. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of revitalizing zakat awareness in the lives of modern Muslims, not only as a ritual obligation but also as a socio-economic system that can achieve a balance between spirituality and social justice.
2025-11-21T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Abdullah Mubarok, Efri Syamsul Bahrihttps://www.journal.itqanpreneurs.com/index.php/ijdici/article/view/143Review of Sharia Audits in Zakat Institutions2025-11-03T07:37:08+07:00Theo Sidik Rizqullah sidikrizqullah@gmail.com
This study aims to explain Sharia audit in zakat institutions. In this study, a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature review was used. The results of the study indicate that a Sharia audit is an independent internal Sharia report or part of an internal audit that tests and evaluates through the lens of Sharia rules, fatwas, instructions, and so forth issued by the Islamic Financial Institution and its supervisory institutions. The role of Sharia audit in improving accountability in zakat management organizations notes that zakat institutions, as social institutions, need to implement high levels of accountability in accordance with Sharia principles. The function of Sharia audit in OPZ institutions is one of the strategies to strengthen the Good Governance of zakat, infaq, and alms funds, which is important for OPZ institutions to implement. The implementation of Sharia audits conducted by Zakat Institutions and other Zakat Management Agencies and Organizations is a key dimension in increasing public trust. The transparency of zakat financial reports provided by a zakat collection institution will increase public trust in channeling zakat, infaq/shodaqoh funds to the institution.
2025-12-30T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Theo Sidik Rizqullah https://www.journal.itqanpreneurs.com/index.php/ijdici/article/view/130Analysis of the Relationship Between Preacher Leadership Style and Da'wah Rejection among Muslim Youth2025-08-08T14:00:48+07:00Mohd Hakim Arshadmohdhakim@uis.edu.myMuhammad Yusuf Marlon Abdullahyusufmarlon@uis.edu.mySyarul Azman Shaharuddinsyarulazman@uis.edu.my
This study examines the relationship between preacher leadership style and rejection of da'wah among Muslim youth. Using a quantitative approach, a questionnaire survey administered to 397 respondents revealed a weak but statistically significant positive relationship between preacher leadership style and da'wah rejection (r = .278, p < .01). These findings indicate that leadership style alone is insufficient to reduce da'wah rejection effectively. Instead, da'wah approaches must be holistic, encompassing noble character (akhlaq), effective time management, communication competencies, and adaptive methodologies tailored to youth needs and cognitive frameworks. This study recommends enhancing inclusive leadership styles grounded in Islamic values to address contemporary challenges in youth da'wah.
2026-02-22T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Mohd Hakim Arshad, Muhammad Yusuf Marlon Abdullah, Syarul Azman Shaharuddin
